According to the research, residents of Chester-le-Street owe an average of £3,470.79 each on personal loans and hire purchase agreements. Camberley`s residents, meanwhile, owe an average of more than £2,000 each on credit cards.
Confused.com also calculated that on average, for every pound earned by Britons, they will owe a total of £1.02 in debt.
