Debt: Women `better than men` with money

A new survey has suggested that around the globe, women are consistently regarded as more responsible with their money then their male counterparts.

The global Reuters Synovate survey found that both genders believe that women are less likely to fall into debt, and are more focused on becoming financially independent.

61% of women believed that they were more responsible with money than men, while only 40% of men agreed.

70% of female respondents to the survey also acknowledged that having more than one credit card put them at risk at debt, suggesting a higher awareness amongst women of what causes debt.
